Failure? … or Not Yet?

Updated: Sep 8, 2018

Welcome to my blog. I have never claimed to be a writer. However, there is always that burning desire inside to say all the things...To spread the word, shout my thoughts out loud. What better way to reach a wide range of people, than with a blog, right? I don't know the first thing about blogging, but I do have a few thoughts about daily living and life in general. I mean, don't we all? So, here goes...let's give this blogging thing a try.

Where does your mindset live?

There's been studies of children being graded(A-F) scale versus being graded on effort, persistence and engaging. The results are astonishing.

Entertain me here and let's apply this to real life, as adults, shall we? Do you take the task at hand, attempt it, then feel it just isn't good enough... you just are not good enough? Do you then consider it a failure? You, a failure? Well, let me be the one to tell you...You are not a failure...YOU ARE ENOUGH.

Suppose the result was not failure, but rather … NOT YET? How will you ever know what you are truly capable of if you live in the mindset of failure? Don't get stuck there. Failure is an end. You get stuck in the now. The now is where we tend to run away from difficulty, just like a child who was titled a failure with that dreaded "F".

Ability can be learned. Scientific fact...Every time you push out of your comfort zone to learn something new, maybe even difficult, the neurons in your brain can form new, stronger connections.

Not Yet is a mindset that is endless. In the Not Yet lives determination, hope, persistence and effort. Every single thing you are capable of lives in the Not Yet. In a mindset of growth you constantly engage, learn and correct your mistakes. Not Yet paves the way to improve and achieve. This is where you realize you are enough because you don't give up.

Sooo, was my first blog post a dud, a ehhhhh, a Failure? Nope, NOT YET....

Here's to all of the NOT YET MINDSETTERS. Keep rockin' it, keep trying, keep following the never ending path to become who you were meant to be.

Live your life filled with Yet. You are enough!

Be Well,
